We had a great time at the Awards show and wish a hearty congratulations to all the winners and other nominees!
We just want to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to see First Day Back at the Storefront Theatre in June! Your support has been incredible and made doing this tiny, experimental show a great experience. First Day Back scored rave reviews and played to full houses and we’re thrilled to see where it goes next!
If you missed out, or you know someone who might be interested in seeing it, there’s one more chance to catch First Day Back before it goes away! We’ll be bringing the show to the Ontario Street Theatre in Port Hope, Ontario this Saturday, July 11. Port Hope is a short drive east of Toronto along Lake Ontario. Details:

In FIRST DAY BACK, you enter a school the day after a gay ninth grader, Ollie, killed himself following years of bullying and abuse. There’s an eerie hush in the halls as Ollie’s friends and tormenters gather to figure out who’s responsible. As you take your seats in the art room, be prepared to have your prejudices about school, homophobia, bullies, and teenagers shaken to their core.

FIRST DAY BACK is Rob Salerno’s searing and heartfelt one-man show about high school, bullying, suicide, and compassion. Previously workshopped at the Victoria and Vancouver Fringe Festivals, we are extremely excited to premiere this powerful and relevant show, in a new production in an immersive environment and under the direction of award-winning playwright and actor Steven Gallagher.
