Ten Foot Pole Theatre is dedicated to telling stories that polite people wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole. We examine subjects that are difficult, challenging, and necessary and bring them to the public in manner that is engaging and accessible. We also plan, whenever possible, to have each of our shows give back to our communities in a direct, concrete way.

Ten Foot Pole Theatre was founded in 2007 as the primary vehicle for artistic director Rob Salerno to produce his new plays, and to engage with other companies and artists in the Toronto theatre community as a production and marketing consultant. To date, Ten Foot Pole Theatre has brought original shows to more than 30 festivals across Canada and around the world, and helped dozens of Toronto companies achieve their goals of reaching wider audiences.
